VLC Media Player portable

OK, I’ve already published quite a few VLC portable versions in individual posts, now I’ll just keep the next ones all in the same post to avoid content duplication. For the previous versions, portableapps had been prompt to publish VLC portable so when I saw VLC 1.1.3 I thought maybe this wasn’t worth the trouble to publish it quickly since portableapps would catch up fast… and of course, precisely this time, they didn’t release an updated version… if I thought the world revolved around me I’d say they’ve been waiting for me 😀 Anyway here it is.

Current stable version: VLC Media Player 1.1.4 portable

This one was impressive. Barely a few hours after I published version 1.1.3, VLC released a new 1.1.4 version… It mainly fixes a Windows dll security issue, as noted in the release notes.

VLC Media Player 1.1.3 portable

VideoLAN Client (VLC) Media Player version 1.1.3 was released on 18 August 2010. Here are the release notes. As you can see there, it fixes some important bugs (crashes). As usual, I made it using the previous launcher from PortableApps (1.1.2 rev 2) on the latest VLC release.
