Flash 11 is outdated, you should rather get Flash 12 there (well, except for Linux where the latest version is 11.2.x and still maintained at the moment)
Since it seems version 11.9.900.170 is still somehow in high demand, I just added a new mirror here.
An important warning to Tor (would-be) users: if you choose to add the Flash plugin to TorBrowser (or whatever browser you use with Tor), this will most likely BREAK the anonymity. Flash tends to connect using any connection it can get, so it’s able to leak your IP to any site that really wants to get it.
Adobe just released a new version of their Flash Player: version 11 final aka 11.0.1.152 (now updated to 11.9.900.170). The main new feature is that it finally has a 64 bits version! There’s also Stage 3D, which allows 3D GPU rendering, finally graphic intensive Flash games will be fast ^^. I’m not sure of what was subsequently added in versions 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3. I suppose versions 11.3.300.262 and .265 fix the chaos introduced in 11.3.300.257 with all the crashes in plugin-based browsers (at least, with Opera and Fx). This paragraph is now quite oudated… can’t wait for version 12 so that I can finally start a brand new Flash post from scratch…
To use that Flash portable, unpack it into the plugin folder for your browser, that is (paths are relative paths, relative to the portable browser’s root directory):
- Firefox Portable: Data/plugins + set
plugins.load_appdir_plugins
to true inabout:config
- Opera USB: program/plugins
- Iron or Chrome Portable: Iron/plugins
Note that Flashplayer.xpt is useless, it’s only included because it’s tiny and some people do look for it.
Here is the zip containing NPSWF32.dll (actually now named NPSWF32_11.9.900.170.dll) and flashplayer.xpt, and NPSWF64_11.9.900.170.dll, and also the new FlashPlayerPlugin_11.9.900.170.exe executable, which as far as I understood is related to Flash getting executed within a sandbox now (for some reason this executable is only provided with the 32 bits version though). You can choose your preferred download host between Megaupload and Filesonic, however note that the files hosted on FileSonic vanish after 30 days without a download, so usually only the latest versions (latest stable + latest preview if newer than stable) remain online there. Megaupload on the other hand should have all history of my uploads. It’s now on MediaFire and Uploaded.to, which I believe don’t delete old files (at least MediaFire doesn’t), so apart from the oldest versions lost in the Megaupload takedown, the more recent ones should be all there.
For developers, here is also the debug version 11.7.700.202.

Bonus: megaupload and filesonic directories MediaFire directory with all my Flash Portable uploads (since the day MU was shutdown and I lost most of my previous versions…). Note that the MegaUpload one also contains a few other portable things, while the FileSonic one is regularly purged of files not downloaded within the last 30 days (so usually it contains only a few most recent versions):
(NB: those are here just for historical purpose, MU was taken down by the FBI and FS purges the files so often that the folder is empty…)

NB: in Windows 7, after installation, Flash can be found in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed for the 32 bits version and C:\Windows\System32\Macromed for the 64 bits version.
You should link this with http://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#plugins
If you’re comming from that site, you don’t find it as fast as wanted.
THaNKS!
Thanks!!!
Bless you good man!
Keep it updated!
David
Could you include in you portable plugin pack and other plugins either , please ?
(Silverlight, WMP, Java, etc…
from the list of there:
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/windows.html)
Thank you in advance.
at least plus to -1. Adobe Flash Player
these:
2. Microsoft SilverLight
3. Adobe Shockwave Player
4. RealPlayer
5. QuickTime
6. JAVA
….etc.
It would be Great Portable Plugins Pack !!!
Java: already tried, is really a pain. Maybe try this one: http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/java_portable
Quicktime/RealPlayer: I think you need to install the whole piece of software. Plus, are there really sites using those? I have neither of them installed, and apart from Evernote no site is causing me trouble about them missing. Those things are both extremely invasive, so I prefer not to install them.
Shockwave: is there any site at all using this? If you point me to some, I guess I could try to make a portable version and see if it actually works. Since it’s from Adobe like Flash, maybe it’s as simple to make portable.
Silverlight: I’m not letting this touch my computer, sorry. And I read somewhere it was going to be discontinued in a not too distant future. Not too sure about how reliable this was, though.
the folder are empty
The Filesonic folder contains only one file because, as I explained, they delete files _very_ fast when they are not getting downloaded. So sadly, usually only the latest version get downloaded often enough to remain online 🙁
The Megaupload folder on the other hand is quite full but you need to allow JavaScript to see its content.
Megaupload has been shut down by the government
Yeah, I saw that… Had tons of LEGAL files hosted, USA are a f**** b*tch (ok, I know like half of you are from there, talking about the government here).
I’ll see what I can do, but the old versions are gone for good, I don’t have a backup of them. As for the latest version, FileSonic is still up.
Ok, I’m hosting the files on my own server now… Will be troublesome when/if moving, but not as much as seeing them all taken away…
Thanks! Filesonic has disabled filesharing
thanks bro
thanks a lot, very usefull on computers without admin right.
I think the current version is 11.1.102.62 now?
Thanks for letting me know (I don’t really check that regularly, and I have auto-update off). I’ll upload it ASAP.
Edit: updated 🙂
Thank you so much for this, and for hosting the backup mirror! Mediafire is frequently blocked
thanks, please don’t stop updating them
Thanks! Great service :).
patheticcockroach please help
I download the zip file but it says that the Component or plugin (such as flashplayer.xpt)
should be installed in the Web browser Components folder. how do I install the files in that folder?
This time I noticed the update: I’ll update to Flash 11.1.102.63 soon 😉
Edit: I stand corrected: I’ll update to Flash 11.1.102.63 whenever Adobe update their offline installers (ATM they’re still on version 11.1.102.62 – wow, first time I’m faster than them!)
Please add new version: 11.2.202.228
Thanks
Updated, thanks, you guys are my auto-update mechanism 😉
I copied those files, it still says me “Install missing plugins”
what should I do?
Using portable firefox, i really need to run videos.
ignore above message , I fixed it!
MAN YOU ARE AWESOME!
thanks for the files, really grateful to you 😛
Hi,
First a few checks:
1) did you place those files in the proper folder? (Data/plugins) Note that the Data folder already exists in Firefox portable, but the plugins subfolder I’m not too sure, maybe you need to create it (I don’t really remember)
2) did you unpack only the proper version? (ie, the 32 bits version and NOT the 64 bits version) I’m not too sure it’s mandatory to remove the unused version, but since it’s useless to have a 64 bits Flash on a 32 bits Firefox anyway, it’s at least just as good to remove it.
3) did you restart Firefox? (that’s definitely required)
Edit: I see you fixed it already 🙂 Just out of curiosity, what was wrong?
Thanks for your effort, this really helped my a lot!!!
I LOVE YOOU !!! THX
Please add new version: 11.2.202.233
Thanks
I was only able to upgrade IE to 11.2.202.233. I have tried to upgrade Firefox regular (non-portable) twice but it still says I am running 11.2.202.228. Maybe Adobe has the wrong file posted?
Version 11.2.202.233 for non-IE browsers is available, I just installed it on my PC and will upload it soon.
DD: When you go to the Flash test website does it recognize you as 11.2.202.233 with Firefox? Mine still says 11.2.202.228 http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
I wasn’t able to upgrade my Desktop (non-portable) Firefox from the Adobe installer, but I manually copied your 11.2.202.233 files to Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins and it worked! Strangely I didn’t see the old 11.2.202.228 files anywhere, so I don’t know where the standard Adobe Installer buried those?
When you use the installer, as mentioned at the very end of the post, files go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed and/or C:\Windows\System32\Macromed. It happened already that Adobe had a delay in uploading the new installer: on the site it was written “new version”, but when I actually downloaded and installed this so-called new version, it was still the old one. So maybe you grabbed your version too early 😉 But when I downloaded it (offline installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html), it was indeed the new version.
Thanks! for some reason when I found the directory you refer to, the old 228 version was still in there also, so I just deleted it which seemed to finally get me recognized as 233
Any advice on installing Adobe Shockwave on Firefox portable? It doesn’t seem as critical as Flash for browsing so maybe it doesn’t matter, but I’ve copied all the files from the Shockwave installer to my plugins directory and it still isn’t working
Sorry I’m completely clueless about Shockwave. I don’t even know of a single site using it, apart of course from https://www.adobe.com/products/shockwaveplayer/. But if copying the installed files into the plugins directory doesn’t work, I don’t know what will…
Worked perfectly, though I thought it might not, as I saw in portableapps.com forum that the most recent versions of flash didn’t work with FFox portable. Thanks a lot!!!
it worked perfectly , but to have to know your PC runs 32-bit version or 64-bit version first , you can determine whether a computer is running a 32-bit version or 64-bit version from this link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827218) then download the latest flash player then copy NPSWF32_11_2_202_233.dll if your PC runs 32-bit version OR NPSWF64_11_2_202_233.dll if your PC runs 64-bit version and of course the file named flashplayer.xpt .
@islamelkady: Acutally, what matters is whether you are running a 32 bit or 64 bits version of your browser. At the moment, you’re really most likely to be running a 32 bit version. Notably, Firefox and Chrome are only released in 32 bits versions, although some special builds or forks (for instance, Palemoon and Waterfox) do exist in 64 bits. Opera too is 32 bits, but as far as I know version 12 will exist both in 32 and 64 bits.
And anyway, probably copying both versions in your plugin folder will mean your browser will just pick the right one. As for flashplayer.xpt, it’s useless. I only include it because it still seems to be quite popular.
Thanks for posting these, they will do well in my browser pack
11.2.202.235 is now available – please post, thanks
Jeez… they’re really releasing those at lightspeed. Will do it tomorrow afternoon I think, I’m afraid I won’t find the time earlier, sorry.
Got up (much) earlier than expected, so here you go, version .235 uploaded already 🙂
Thanks! Apparently this is a critical fix if you saw the news online
You’re welcome 🙂 Not that critical when you use stuff such as NoScript, though 😉
thanks
Awesome work.. 🙂
Please always keeps and alternative download from your website itself..
I need it because in my workplace, the company’s corporate network, all filesharing sites are blocked and also exe and msi files (installers) also cant be downloaded.. 🙁
So your site’s zip file is the only option which works for me 🙂
Great work!
Before 11.x.x.22x, was able to find the NPSWF32.dll from the windows directory.
Now cannot find the new naming convention file ‘NPSWF64_11_2_202_235.dll”.
Pls advise, David.
Thanks!
