So, where is the AJAX-free version of phpMyAdmin?

I’ve never really liked the new look’n feel of phpMyAdmin. Big huge icons and buttons, large margins everywhere, AJAX pop-up dialogs with margins too, lots of wasted space everywhere, and most importantly, overall slowness. I suppose AJAX-powered phpMyAdmin could turn out to be good in the end, but at the moment, it’s definitely very poor IMO. So I eventually decided to “downgrade” to the latest AJAX-free version.
The big question being: which version was that again? Here you go, this was version 3.3.x, and it’s actually been maintained quite recently: here’s the link to version 3.3.10.5, released in November 2011.

Edit: just found out that the “old” theme can be restored in phpMyAdmin 3.5 by choosing the “original” theme on the phpMyAdmin start page. Hurray! (but still as slow :())
