Flash 11 is outdated, you should rather get Flash 12 there (well, except for Linux where the latest version is 11.2.x and still maintained at the moment)
Since it seems version 11.9.900.170 is still somehow in high demand, I just added a new mirror here.
An important warning to Tor (would-be) users: if you choose to add the Flash plugin to TorBrowser (or whatever browser you use with Tor), this will most likely BREAK the anonymity. Flash tends to connect using any connection it can get, so it’s able to leak your IP to any site that really wants to get it.
Adobe just released a new version of their Flash Player: version 11 final aka 11.0.1.152 (now updated to 11.9.900.170). The main new feature is that it finally has a 64 bits version! There’s also Stage 3D, which allows 3D GPU rendering, finally graphic intensive Flash games will be fast ^^. I’m not sure of what was subsequently added in versions 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3. I suppose versions 11.3.300.262 and .265 fix the chaos introduced in 11.3.300.257 with all the crashes in plugin-based browsers (at least, with Opera and Fx). This paragraph is now quite oudated… can’t wait for version 12 so that I can finally start a brand new Flash post from scratch…
To use that Flash portable, unpack it into the plugin folder for your browser, that is (paths are relative paths, relative to the portable browser’s root directory):
- Firefox Portable: Data/plugins + set
plugins.load_appdir_plugins
to true inabout:config
- Opera USB: program/plugins
- Iron or Chrome Portable: Iron/plugins
Note that Flashplayer.xpt is useless, it’s only included because it’s tiny and some people do look for it.
Here is the zip containing NPSWF32.dll (actually now named NPSWF32_11.9.900.170.dll) and flashplayer.xpt, and NPSWF64_11.9.900.170.dll, and also the new FlashPlayerPlugin_11.9.900.170.exe executable, which as far as I understood is related to Flash getting executed within a sandbox now (for some reason this executable is only provided with the 32 bits version though). You can choose your preferred download host between Megaupload and Filesonic, however note that the files hosted on FileSonic vanish after 30 days without a download, so usually only the latest versions (latest stable + latest preview if newer than stable) remain online there. Megaupload on the other hand should have all history of my uploads. It’s now on MediaFire and Uploaded.to, which I believe don’t delete old files (at least MediaFire doesn’t), so apart from the oldest versions lost in the Megaupload takedown, the more recent ones should be all there.
For developers, here is also the debug version 11.7.700.202.

- version 10.2 preview
- version 10.1 (multiple versions on the same page)
Bonus: megaupload and filesonic directories MediaFire directory with all my Flash Portable uploads (since the day MU was shutdown and I lost most of my previous versions…). Note that the MegaUpload one also contains a few other portable things, while the FileSonic one is regularly purged of files not downloaded within the last 30 days (so usually it contains only a few most recent versions):
(NB: those are here just for historical purpose, MU was taken down by the FBI and FS purges the files so often that the folder is empty…)

NB: in Windows 7, after installation, Flash can be found in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed for the 32 bits version and C:\Windows\System32\Macromed for the 64 bits version.
Strange, firefox still freezes on version 11.4.x
Hm, strange indeed, I haven’t had issues since a few versions back now.
I think its just the new sandbox update. So flash versions up to 11.2 will still work on portable versions.
The newest version Flash 11.4.402.278.
is running under my Firefox Portable Nightly [18.0a1 (2012-09-25)]
Thank you, Admin.
But aren’t there Versions for 32- and 64bit?
I put them both in the same archive for the sake of simplicity. I haven’t found the sandbox executable wrapper (or whatever this thing is) for the 64 bits version yet; looks like there is none, although that difference between the 32 and 64 bits version seems a bit puzzling to me…
Updated to 11.4.402.287…
and 11.5 beta ? because 11.4 have problems under FF 1.9 (x64)
Note to self: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11-5.html
I’ll try to post it soon
There you go 🙂 http://img.patheticcockroach.com/01/Flash_11.5.500.104_portable_32_and_64_bits.zip
I don’t know if they fixed many bugs or added many features, but they inflated the binaries like crazy… 15MiB now vs 10MiB before 😮 (compressed)
aaaand they did it again => 11.5.502.110
And this time I even saw it before you posted about it 😉 Unfortunately I won’t be able to update it until at least tomorrow evening…
Here it is, will update the post later: http://img.patheticcockroach.com/01/Flash_11.5.502.110_portable_32_and_64_bits.zip
Thanks for keeping the current Flash files uploaded!
Do you have a download from another site? Those ones are all blocked for me 🙁
The “mirror 2” one is actually hosted on one of my servers (http://img.patheticcockroach.com/01/Flash_11.5.502.135_portable_32_and_64_bits.zip), is it blocked too? 😮
works for me, thank u very much 🙂
Just a heads up that Flash 11.5.502.146 is released, but no pressure. 🙂
Thanks, updated 🙂
Thanks 😉 Well little pressure, because on some websites they force you to use the latest Flash version.
thank you so much! I was nearly getting crazy because my portable firefox not working on so many pages!
Hi all,
Looks like this time I’m ahead of the usual whistle blowers 😉 I’m aware version 11.5.502.149 got released some hours ago and will upload it “soon” (at worst in less than 24h, more probably within 6)
I’m aware that yet another update has been released. I’ll post it if I don’t forget in a few hours, or otherwise at the end of the day.
Shame on me, I forgot: I did install version 11.6.602.171, but I forgot to pack it and upload it…. :/ Will do it this evening then…
Thanks a ton for uploading the flash dll files. Helped me a lot. Thank you and I wish you happiness in your life
You’re great 😀
Wow that’s exactly I was looking for! Thanks a lot!
very good,thx
Thank you, sir.
Thank you so much, this helped out a lot!
I in first place didn’t copy the .exe to the plugin folder, because I tend to be overcautious. Since it didn’t work, I threw caution over board and… it works as it should.
Thank you very much, very much, very much, very much and VERY MUTCH !
Thank you so much! Adobe hid the files in the original locations which people take them from, and left a flash.ocx and flash util file instead of these DLLs. How did you rip them? That way we can all stay up to date instead of bugging you for the latest! Thanks again!
See the last paragraph of the post 😉 They are in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed and C:\Windows\System32\Macromed
Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.202 Final/11.8.800.50 Beta
Thanks, will do it tomorrow
Thanks for new version
Hi David, could you please provide debugger version? Flash Player debugger is very important for Flash developers.
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
Do you develop on a machine where you neither have admin rights nor the debugging tools you need? Ouch, I sure don’t want your job :s I can make a debugger package, although I probably won’t update it as often. Just to be sure, since I’ve never used the debugger version, we’re talking about this version, right: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/11/flashplayer_11_plugin_debug.exe ?
Yes, that one!
It’s really a surprise to me you replied so quickly. In fact, I can ask someone has admin rights to fix my flash debugger remotely. But usually it takes 2 days to get it resolved. It’s just wasting of time. I prefer to have a portable debugger.
Thanks again for your help.
Well, I do try to be reactive when I’m online 😉 Ok then, I’ll do it some time today. I hope it won’t be to painful to install over (or alongside?) my current non-debug version.
It’s uploaded http://img.patheticcockroach.com/01/Flash-debug_11.7.700.202_portable_32_and_64_bits.zip
It works!
Thanks a lot, David!
Would like to get 11.7.700.224 portable. Any plans for that? Thanks a lot for your efforts!
BTW: Where can I find the corresponding .exe in a fully installed system?
Thanks for the notification, I’ll upload it maybe this evening or tomorrow morning. As mentioned at the very end of the post, the files (dll and exe) are located in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed and in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed
Oops, I almost forgot. Here it is: http://ul.to/wpdfmxpr
Thanks an awful lot!

Hi, (using Win7) , b4 FF 21, been enjoying your ‘releases’, all working, and installed in C:\Users\student\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firefox\plugins (the only folder FF could install). But since FF21, which was updated and intalled there also. Whatever files I put on that plugins folder, no flash works(youtube etc). In C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash, there are some old(2010), dll, ocx, and exe, but cannot be deleted due to user rights etc, any help would be greatly appreciated !
Hm, I haven’t used a portable version of Firefox since for quite a while. Maybe you could check about:plugins to see if any Flash plugin is loaded at all (and if there is one, to see its path if you’re on Fx >= 22).
Edit: oh, actually, they changed the behavior of the plugins directory:
“Starting in Firefox 21 the plugins folder is no longer scanned by default. If you have installed plugins in this location and wish to use them, either set the preference
plugins.load_appdir_plugins
totrue
inabout:config
or else move the “plugins” folder into the “browser” folder that’s located inside the installation directory”Edit 2: lol, this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/plugins-app-dir-restorer/ is another example of that http://notepad.patheticcockroach.com/2208/how-to-write-a-successful-firefox-extension/
standard FF21 installed, not portable version. Wow, thanks, just the trick in “about:config” , worked.
There is some new problem now however, that msg on youtube(for example): “an error has occurred please try again later” , but I think it has to do with new flash version not compatible with FF yet, or something. I tried clearing cache etc, disabling
Adblocks etc, nothing worked. Anyway thanks.
Adobe Crash Player 11.8.800.94 stable is out
😀 Thanks, I’ll deal with it ASAP
thanks

Tanks again! 🙂
great, thanks
Wow, after all the search for days, this is the only working way, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Version 11.8.800.168 uploaded. Woah I found it before getting notified by you guys ^^
Version 11.8.800.174 is out! Thanks for your hard work.
Ow, seriously? Lol, can’t they fix their patches before releasing them? ^^ Well, will do it, err, some time in the near foreseeable future 😉
Thanks for the notification, I wouldn’t have checked for a while otherwise!
Actually, version 11.8.800.174 is specific to MSIE. Since portable Flash is only for non-IE browsers, there’s nothing to upgrade 🙂

11.9.900.117 stable is out
Thanks, I updated the post.
Hi David! Thank you very much again.
Portable browser installations seem to be a bit peculiar. Some need the flashplayerplugin.exe, some don’t – as reported by users. My portable SeaMonkey from PortableApps.com definitely depends on the .exe file. And this one cannot be found elsewere, but here.
Thank you for this!!
At work we have locked computers who do not permit the installation of anything so after a while flash becomes obsolete. This is the only way i can update it. I have been using your page for a while now, i just want you to know how much i appreciate it!
Keep up the good work!
Regards
David.
Please, Update v11.9.900.152
Thank you!!
Thanks, I updated the post with the newer version.
David.
Thanks, to updated version 11.9.900.152

Please, Update v11.9.900.170
Thank you!!
There it is: http://ul.to/lhsnaig6
Updating the post ATM
David
Thanks, to updated version v11.9.900.170
Thank you SO much …. !!!!
After spending nearly two hours looking for this damned “FlashPlayerPlugin_11.9.900.170.exe” to use with FirefoxPortable without having to install Adobe’s dirty crap on my clean OS install, I finally found your excellent article and uploads.
Once again, thank you very much.
Sorry you had to search for so long. Google buried me some months ago for some unknown reason (maybe they punish me for not placing any of their trackers here) and now this place is a bit harder to find… Long live the web police and King Big Brother Eric Schmidt and his pals.
Anyway, glad you found the place. Bookmark it for next update 😉
Could you add a direct download link?
Thanks!
Hi,
The “backup mirror” is in fact a direct download link:
http://img.patheticcockroach.com/01/Flash_11.9.900.170_portable_32_and_64_bits.zip
Thanks a lot!
The domain is filtered by firewall. Could you use box.com?
Wow. They took the time to filter just a sub-domain of mines? Some IT moron must have some time to waste… Also the site must look weird to you, without the pictures… 🙁
I don’t have a box.com account, does this work: http://randomnamedfshmlj.patheticcockroach.com/01/Flash_11.9.900.170_portable_32_and_64_bits.zip ?
Otherwise I also put it there, but the link expires after about a month: http://demo2.ovh.net/en/25ac6d60a1329b522cd3e259d74ce9f9/
Sites are often filtered by default. I could ask for remove it but I have to justify the request only for work. However demo2 link worked. 🙂
Thanks again.
Hm, how can you access this site then ? They did unblock notepad.patheticcockroach.com ? That’s unusual 😀
On a side note, there is an HTTPS version available, maybe that can help (?)
I don’t know why ovh.net is not filtered and patheticcockroach is filtered. My hypotesis is that firewall has a dictionary of suspected words: pathetic-cock-roach … probably one of this words triggers something in the firewall.
I mean, I’m surprised this very site (notepad.patheticcockroach.com) is not blocked while img.patheticcockroach.com is: it seems to be subdomain-specific.
You’re right. But this happens also with many (not all) other sites. The domain is not filtered but, when I try to download from a sub-domain, it filters.
